My Grandpa Maxwell, known as Junior to family and friends, HATED going to the doctor and he would avoid it at all costs. He was afraid the doctor would find something wrong and he’d rather avoid the news than deal with it. I am willing to bet a lot of people feel the same way about visiting a financial professional.
When you visit my office, you can expect your first appointment to be professional and friendly, just like me. Expect that we will talk about what you’re doing right when it comes to money and investments, where you can make changes, and how I can help you achieve your retirement dreams.
It starts with having proper expectations and coming prepared to your meeting with a financial professional like Heritage Financial Strategies.
New clients will be asked for basic information prior to our first meeting, including basic documents. Don’t worry. It’s what I need to help determine your investment personality, how you like to invest. Documents provided for your first appointment include investment accounts (IRA, 401K), Social Security statement that you can find by going to ssa.gov.
Having this information prior to our meeting means we can spend time getting to know each other to decide if we want to work together. I will explain how I work, how I get paid, and the plan for the next six months should you decide to hire me. We will set up an appointment 2-3 later for me to present the formal plan and findings from my analysis that is based on the statements provided and our conversation.
You won’t walk out of the first appointment with an investment plan but you will walk away knowing more about me so that you can decide if you want to hire me to be your financial professional.
It is always my goal to help my clients meet their financial goals.
